How Does a Quantum Computer Work?

Full TranscriptIf someone asked you to picture a quantum computer, what would you see in your mind? A quantum computer is fundamentally different in both the way it looks, and ,more importantly, in the way it processes information. Just like you add more transistors to extend the capabilities of your classical computer, you add more qubits to create a more powerful quantum computer. This wasn’t a great way to make a quantum computer, because it’s very hard to scale up. Even now, experts are still trying to get quantum computers to work well enough to best classical supercomputers.
